HRH Princess Rym Ali
Founder, Jordan Media Institute
HRH Princess Rym Ali is an international Jordanian journalist behind the establishment of Jordan Media Institute and the development of one of the first master's programs in journalism and modern media in the Arab region.
She studied at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, receiving a Master of Science in Journalism in 1993. She worked as a senior editor for numerous international media institutions, with field reporting spanning conflict zones in the Caucasus, Central Asia, the Middle East, West Africa, and Europe.
In 2007, Princess Rym founded Jordan Media Institute in recognition of her valuable contributions to journalism. She has represented JMI at numerous international conferences and forums around the world.
She received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism in April 2011. In September 2021, the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for Dialogue between Cultures appointed Princess Rym Ali as its President.
